2011年全球最佳大学排行榜出炉 中国占16席

英国国际高等教育及人力资源研究机构QS公司（Quacquarelli Symonds）今晨公布了2011年全球最佳大学排行榜（前300名）。今年的榜单中，前50名顶尖大学仍以美国大学居多。中国有四所大学荣登世界最佳大学榜50强，它们分别是香港大学、香港科技大学、香港中文大学和北京大学。前300名中中国共有16所大学上榜。
香港首次同时有6所大学打入前300强，其中香港大学再次力压东京大学，蝉联“亚洲第一”。中国内地有8所大学上榜，北京大学和清华大学分别位列46及47名。此外还有2所台湾大学上榜。
剑桥大学连登榜首北大清华名列前50
这项由国际知名教育咨询机构QS公司进行的全球高等学府排名调查，规模涵盖全球主要的大学，是申请就读大学学生的重要参考。
排名主要依据是学术表现、雇主评价、师生国际化程度、论文引用情况等六项指标。
QS公司指出，这项全球最佳大学排行榜调查，是通过对全球逾16000名雇主及32000名学术人员的访问得出的结果。
今年的排行榜中前十大被美国大学占了6席，英国则占了4席。数据显示，剑桥大学已经连续两年力压哈佛大学荣登榜首。
中国上榜的16所大学中，除北大和清华以及三所香港大学名列前50名、复旦大学名列第91名，内地的上海交通大学、南京大学、中国科技大学、浙江大学、北京师范大学，以及香港的城市大学、理工大学、浸会大学和台湾的清华大学、成大，排名均在百名之外。
关注应用科学发展北大清华排名上升
北京大学今年的排名较去年上升1位，而清华大学则上升了7位。
QS公司分析称，最近几年北京大学虽然仍然把重点放在基础科学上，但该大学的进步在于，也开始特别关注应用科学的发展，并将重大科学问题的研究与高水平专业人员的培训紧密结合起来。而清华大学也致力于基础科学和应用科学双研究。
QS公司相关负责人表示，今年亚洲地区大学的表现仍很强劲，激烈的竞争带动了亚洲地区高等教育的质量，加上当地政府也提供丰厚资源，都对大学教育的整体表现有很大帮助。
qs世界大学排名的方法为运用6方面的指数来衡量，这六个指数为：
学术领域的同行评价(Academic peer review)，占40%
学生就业评价，基于雇佣者的评价(Recruiter review )，占10%
教师/学生比例(Faculty student ratio )，占20%
单位教职的引用率(Citations per faculty )，占20%
国际教师和国际学生占总教师、总学生数的比例(International orientation )，占10%
